Dr. Dean Klingenberg


Dr. Dean Klingenberg graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where he earned a Sports Injury and Rehabilitation Assistant award. Prior to chiropractic school he attended Hope College in Holland Michigan and graduated with a B.A. in Exercise Science. Upon completion of his Doctorate of Chiropractic, he interned in Charleston, S.C. and later moved to the Hilton Head/Bluffton area where he married his wonderful wife and office manager, Anna.

Dr. Klingenberg has an extensive background in athletics and strength and conditioning and is Titleist Performance Institute certified. He uses this TPI certification along with chiropractic care in his office by assessing golfers of all ages to help improve their biomechanics related to their golf swing by utilizing corrective exercises and adjustments for peak performance and injury prevention/rehabilitation.

Dr. Klingenberg is also Webster Technique Certified by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated. Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e., dystocia), caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia (icpa4kids.com).

Dr Klingenberg strives to provide a high level of professionalism through patient-focused care. He believes that it is important for individuals to develop their knowledge of health and wellness and knows that the best results in patient care come from patient involvement as well as effective treatments for each condition. Dr. Klingenberg designs specific treatment plans customized to your individual needs while emphasizing your active participation and education to help you recover quickly.His treatments include a combination of chiropractic spinal adjustments, extremity adjustments(shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankles), soft-tissue/myofascial release, traction, rehabilitation and physiotherapy modalities.

Dr. Klingenberg is a Board Certified Chiropractor in the state of South Carolina and is a member of the South Carolina Chiropractic Association and the ICPA – International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

Dr. Klingenberg and his wife Anna enjoy serving and getting involved in the community and their church, working out at the local gym and participating in the many activities this beautiful area has to offer!
